great move, LTS releases were a pain to maintain

I get the feeling that Django has fallen behind when it comes to modern web development, and they're just making decisions that'd make it easier for people to maintain the existing products

Which is unfortunate

django-modern-rest, have you heard of it?

I don't like the fact that those things never make it into Django itself, nor do they become an officially endorsed package

Other frameworks also have a bunch of stuff that you can glue to them – but like

Django is such a heavyweight I'd expect it to have the stuff I need for web development

We need .NET Django Core

It was SO SLOW to adjust to the fact that the industry uses env variables to configure the app it's unbelievable

I used to love it, 12 years ago

but looking at it now, it feels like something that's built to be good in the early-to-mid 2010s, not in late 2020s

one thing that's still good tho is that github.com/wemake-services still offers good add-ons

love that kind of stability

I was recognized as a member of Django Software Foundation for this 😂
