Yeah, it would be cool, but it’d cost a ton and wouldn’t benefit you more than buying and holding would. So, your cost/benefit says buy instead of mine. In terms of supporting the network, let the folks who live in areas where it’s feasible or who have the expertise to make it a hobby or job do the mining. Staking is how you keep the network secure. I think it’s cool, for example, how just my stake as well as XECX holders pretty much ensure that it would cost many, many millions of dollars to take over the network (and it would make us all rich in the process). That’s more valuable than any paltry mining I could do by myself. So, you should be proud that you’re doing a lot of good with very little manual effort required. That’s the best combination.

And we keep each other in check, too: if XECX or I went rogue, for example, our stakes protect everyone from the rogue staker, too. Speaking of which, I need to go upgrade my node for 11/15.
