Hey everyone, hope you all had a great weekend! Full shipping report from last weeks work, every commit linked: https://github.com/Elacity/pc2.net/discussions/40 Full simple breakdown and roadmap: https://portal.ela.city/roadmap Runtime v0.7.1 is release: https://blog.elastos.net/announcement/elastos-runtime-v0-7-1/ Why does this matter? Today your apps and AI run on someone else's computer, with far more access than they need. Elastos turns your devices into part of one World Computer that you own: Home (the computer you use), Runtime (the secure engine), Carrier (direct device-to-device connection) and Blockchain (identity and ownership). Every app runs sealed and only gets what you allow, and you always know where it's running. What does this week mean? Mainchain is live and being hardened, ESC and EID are open, and PG cross-chain stays off for now. The headline: Runtime v0.7.1 is released, the next step toward ElastOS v2, with builds for Mac, Linux and Linux ARM devices like Jetson. Quick overview! • Runtime v0.7.1 is out. A new sign-in screen, your Recovery Kit set up before anything else, a clean first desktop with the Marketplace pinned, local AI models from a signed catalogue, and the Home agent running in its own sealed capsule. • Every app in its own room. Content and apps are now isolated from each other, and apps open inside your signed-in Home. The public Home now runs as a service that comes straight back after a restart. • Safe, signed updates. Your Home can now take a signed update, check it, and come back as the same Home with your settings intact, approved from System in one step. • Smarter local AI. Models now respect your device's memory, stay where the Runtime puts them, and a Jetson version installs automatically. Your AI, on your hardware. • Homes find each other. Homes that ship together now join a shared Community room automatically, and protected content moved forward on mint, open and buy. • Offers tab on elacity dDRM coming. Sell

Question Sash, can ElastOS or Elastos Computer be opened on android devices? As both my mobile and laptop are Androids
  1. S
Hey Y, not yet, no. Every platform needs its own testing and time, so ElastOS launches on Linux and Mac computers first (Windows through WSL2). Android isn't supported yet, on phones or laptops. Hyper does though run on Android today (with IOS testing in works). For ElastOS on mobile, the goal is to either let you connect to it on home computer like pc2 does and/or make the Runtime installable inside the Essentials wallet for mobile/ipad first experience, then everything can stay in-house in one app (needing to tread carefully with app store issues). This isn't built yet, alot of other fix-up work is happening on Essentials first. We'll share more when it's on the roadmap with a date.

Looking forward to the day when it will be accessible for androids. Keep up the good work Sash

These would be a use cases for Elastos: A cybersecurity expert easily hacked a BYD Shark 6 ute in Australia. He gained remote access without a password and could control lights, wipers, doors, speakers and the microphone — even recording conversations and tricking Siri into revealing personal data. Experts warn of serious safety and surveillance risks with Chinese connected cars, especially given Australia’s lack of strong cybersecurity rules for vehicles. Scary examples: Imagine hacking the car during the night and switching the lights suddenly off. Hey, Siri, what is my home address?
