"A great many tasks piled up on me today, and I did not accomplish any of them..
I was supposed to reproach the student whose absence kept repeating, because her grandfather expelled her widowed mother and locked up the little ones at his place, and I did not reproach her..
I was supposed to punish that student who arrives late until the middle of the class, because she waits for her sister to return from the first period so she can take the shoes after her, and I did not punish her!
And I am supposed to find a solution with the two students who are absent whenever it is the camp's turn to fill water.. and I did not find one!
And many, many of them do not write the explanation with me, waiting for the two notebooks that UNRWA will distribute to each student, and I did not even open the discussion with them at all!!
And other miserable tasks, which are not to be mentioned in the presence of the luxury that we have two feet and two hands with which we carry out our tasks, and that life has given us a new chance to live, and at least has not killed us, until this moment!"
