One thing I doubt Mozilla will move in Ai Chat like Google or Microsoft.
Ai need Huge Resources. Money is only one reason.
Google, Microsoft, Meta, Tesla buy Nuclear Power Plant to power its datacenter. Imagine that in long term expenditures.
And Mozilla as company still mocked for loosing stock markets today. aka, no money.

Not wanting AI is like Nokia moved to the touchscreen too late. You can't imagine the feature without the AI so better build an AI assistant with privacy features and gain people.
Google generally will win for Global Ai war I think.
It base as Search Engine & Owning Web Crawler that could work 24/7 in real time already a huge win. Microsoft Bing can't do that, more focus to US and its Allies.
Only China could fight that. While Google can't crawl China, China can crawl China+Global.

Google with its most powerful Web Crawler already gather alot of data for its Search Engine for years. Whoever have more data could process more.

In first glance of its first settings page (new install page). I think GMS used for Nearby devices or Nearby Bluetooth Scanning.
Like OpenTune, it also could detect nearby played music. Unlike Audile, it can only ask 1 place, YT, I think.
