David Beckham has officially received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. By his side for the occasion were Victoria Beckham, their daughter Harper, sons Cruz and Romeo with their partners, and family friends Tom Cruise and Eva Longoria. Before David’s star was unveiled, Victoria delivered a rather unexpected speech: “When I was growing up in England, the Hollywood Walk of Fame was one of those iconic places you only ever saw in films—a way to honor people who had achieved outstanding success in their field. So naturally, I assumed I was here today to receive my own star for my role in the cult classic *Spice World*. But apparently, surviving the box-office battles of the late ’90s isn’t enough to earn one.” Fair enough. Simon Luke is a photographer who splits his time between Minneapolis and New York. A few years ago, during a two-week trip to Cuba, he became fascinated by the island’s nostalgic past—its vintage televisions. Long obsolete, these pre-revolutionary relics had been imported from the United States and Russia. “Whenever I came across an open door and a TV switched on, I’d ask if I could take a photo. The answer was always yes. No one seemed to think it was an odd request, and it usually came with Cuban coffee or rum,” Simon says. ShowPulse
