SILO Nodes need to be online 24/7, have a stable internet connection, a publicly reachable IP, and reliable storage. Mobile phones are frequently switched between Wi-Fi and mobile networks, go into sleep mode, have battery limitations, and the operating system can stop background services at any time. That makes them unsuitable for reliably storing other users' data.
That said, phones are perfect for using SILO through apps like SILO Drive and SILO Photos, but not for hosting storage nodes.
