Only reason it’s being delisted is due to the emissions. This project is now a multi faced project. Mining, staking, storage hosting. Not just a mining project. So mining rewards as it’s grown have got smaller. But there’s a whole eco system here. Mining is now just a small part of this project.
The diverse way that people can make passive income from this project is amazing. What started as a POW mining project has evolved a lot and it’s a great thing.
Also keep in mind mining with most asics / GPUs right now is not profitable and in this part of the cycle people lose interest. But there’s a lot of other people who would be interested in other aspects of this project like Silo hosting.

Just look at other POW projects. OCTA at ATL, Clore, ALPH. The fact that the devs here are developing and providing new ways for passive income is great.

Can a silo node be set up on a phone,? I know phones have little memory but everybody has a phone now. Would it be nice to allow whatever unused memory user have on thier phone to colaborate on silo?

Not as a storage node. SILO Nodes need to be online 24/7, have a stable internet connection, a publicly reachable IP, and reliable storage. Mobile phones are frequently switched between Wi-Fi and mobile networks, go into sleep mode, have battery limitations, and the operating system can stop background services at any time. That makes them unsuitable for reliably storing other users' data. That said, phones are perfect for using SILO through apps like SILO Drive and SILO Photos, but not for hosting storage nodes.

I like that idea. Even if phones can’t be storage nodes, it would be great if they could contribute to the ecosystem in other ways in the future. With dVPN, distributed computing, and other services on the roadmap, maybe mobile devices could eventually play a role too.

It's a good idea, and we've thought about it as well. While phones aren't suitable for hosting storage nodes, they could contribute in other ways in the future, such as lightweight distributed computing tasks, bandwidth sharing, or participating in parts of the network that don't require always-on storage. It's definitely something we'll explore as the ecosystem grows.
