The only issue I have on Zorin Pro 18.1 is with the layout menu, it works once and then auto-dismisses when I want to choose a different saved layout. My workaround is to set the layout I want as the default in settings. Some other tabs have been laggy at times but not unworkable.
I am also using the ProtonUp-Qt app to use the latest GE-Proton11-6, which is what I have set in Steam for compatibility.

This is a rewrite of the TUI (the one launched from CLI) into a new library. The TUI has a command that allows you to change the renderer for Logos. You would need to install the code in this pull request (PR) and then test it on your computer.
These easiest way to install this test code is to use the GitHub CLI, which you can usually download and install from your distro's repos (using apt install). You'll have to search for the package and verify it, but once you do, you can download Ou Dedetai's source code from GitHub, switch to the development branch, and then test it.

🟦 T. H. Wright:
Once you install the command, you need to begin by cloning the repository.
git clone https://github.com/FaithLife-Community/OuDedetai.git
or
gh repo clone FaithLife-Community/OuDedetai
Then you need to use the GitHub CLI command to switch the development branch.
gh pr checkout 495
From there, you need to install a Python virtual environment (venv).
https://github.com/FaithLife-Community/OuDedetai/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md
Then you have to activate that venv and run the start script:
(venv) python /path/to/the/install/scripts/run_app.py
🟦 T. H. Wright: That will let you test it out. It may seem like a lot, but if you do it enough, it is easy.
The easy way to think of the CLI is that instead of running a launcher to launch an app, you type the name of the app and then hit enter to run it. CLI "apps" have various options, flags, subcommands, etc. that allow the CLI to do what it needs to do.
In this case, you are running a couple CLI apps to be able to run another application from its source code.
🟦 T. H. Wright: I can also say, ChatGPT is a great help to setting these things up as a n00b. Just give it the GitHub link, copy the text from the CONTRIBUTING file, and tell it you want to set up a virtual environment so that you can run the repo from source, and it will be able to guide you pretty effectively.
