Linux Mint

Im glad you didn’t give up and you tried it again.

Well, my first experiences of COSMIC were actually on NixOS and then CachyOS, where they seemed to have (nearly) unsolvable problems, until a friend pointed out that I really ought to use it only on Pop!_OS; it's been great

just wish I had more tiling control, I guess, though I'll look more into that at https://t.me/popos_cosmic

To me learing Linux commands is like discovering now magickal spells.

I am watching a Youtube video called Your Life At Every Level of Linux

This is funner than learning DOS which would also be interesting to learn (different OS or magical practice) but for me for now it's Linux Mint.

I figured some stuff out, you need help?

Be sure to investigate man pages.

Right now I am trying commands and seeing what they do. I wanted to list my installed files in CLI and the first time i got an error and then i researched and found the correct command and got pages of apps.

Example, type CTRL + ALT + T to open terminal. Type man ls and press enter to bring up manpage for LS (list) Also, type man man to look at man commands

It would be nice and interesting to ressurect a version of Mandrake but under a different name.

I hae my CLI in my taskbar so I jsut click on it. I tried the command to see what happened. I will try it again later. For now i am half invested in this and half invested in Insideos: Red door. Waiting for Lanterns to start at 9 but that won't diswade my interestin in linux commands.

This is all so very fascinating.

You can learn a whole lot from man pages and it is easy to bring up terminal when you need help with a command.

I also found a video on it too. I am watching it now.

I just saw a youtube video come across my feed and from there i discovered this command info ls

I don't care for the "only n00bs use" because you gotta start somewhere and a tree starts as a seed.

Yeah, Win=Meta=Super

Right. On Linux, we call it the Super key.
