ummm, kde partition manager will do the same thing correct?

ok done. why does the standard file manager not allow certain things like create new folders?

hmmm, it opened up another window, dolfin file manager that allowed folders to be moved after creating new folders

ya but how do I get that other white screen version of the file manager?

yes, all default settings from the partition program.

only thing I changed was the name to "BAK" as in backup

oh its not in root is why. when I right click and open it asked for the root password THEN it allows the files to transfer and be renamed etx.

errr, etc...

when you right click there is a menu called "root action" and then "open in file manager" then it asked for the root password then it works.

I guess leave it as is for security reasons right?

ok great. I will work it out. right now seems ok however. any time I need root to do something it is just a right click away which is good.

question. emulators for android on 21.3, what is best choice? bliss os and how do I install it or is it one of those virtualbox deals?

is there a way to install other operating systems without using a usb memory stick?

in other words, from within mxlinux 21.3 I want to install to another existing partition dual boot mode.

I installed 23.1 dual boot windows 11 into the existing mx 21.3 and now the grub boot problem. how do I fix it?

and why is that always a problem? how come they can not make the installer automatically do this for you instead of having to guess and make mistakes?

I tried boot repair. I cant get it to work.

I did do a search. on mx21.3 there was a command line I found that worked for it when I updated to windows 11. but now after installing 23.1 that command line fix does not work.

I do not understand why mxlinux people do not fix that problem. just make it easy like windows.

can someone direct me how to install linux-wifi-hotspot please?
