most python modules do the same when they have c or c++ backends, like tensorflow, and even pyside in some methods releases the GIL to allow multi cpu usage, but that will be up to the module. So if you search for 'tensorflow multicpu' pretty sure it's automatically or a simple option, like you can switch to use GPU for example.
