You shouldn't have any issues. Just install Qt from qt.io, and follow the docs.
Even building Qt from sources isn't too difficult, if you wanted to do that. The Qt docs are quite good.
Beyond that, this isn't the place to ask or answer Qt C++ questions, but if you can boil whatever problems you're having with Qt into a Qt for Python example, we might be able to help.
