Qt for Python (PySide/Shiboken)

I am trying to make a system-wide colorpicker for Linux. This is how my code runs: https://github.com/transistxr/colorpycker/blob/wayland_screengrab/src/colorpycker/floatingwidget.py The commented out part is how I do it with X11 and it works just fine with fetching the screen so many times but the Wayland implementation doesn't work properly at all because Wayland launches its own blocking interface to pick the colour. This would've and has worked fine in cases where you just pick once but this doesn't work for my case, what could I do?
