QApplication extends QGuiApplication extends QCoreApplication extends QObject.
This is what my IDE resolves when I do QApplication.instance():
@staticmethod
def instance() -> PySide6.QtCore.QCoreApplication | None: ...
The type checker only knows that you have a QCoreApplication
