I recently suffered a lot from various bugs with pyside+qml development using qt creator specially using design mode. I'm searching for a live preview tool for qml development on vscode. Is there any plugin other than felgo(cause its not working locally) for this?

I feel you, but I don't think such integrations exist for VSCode (contrary to Visual Studio), most plugins just can launch Designer or Creator, and not much else.

Finally i found something. A plugin named qml sandbox gives a live preview in a same window split view of vscode.

There is a strange bug in qt creator. When i open a qml file in design mode and select properties toolbar from the right and then click back on the code editor or on preview pane the software crashes. I tested this with qt creator version 12.0.2 and 13.0.0 rc1 and on 2 different pc with no luck. I also changed qt version between 6.6.2 and 6.6.3 from kits with mingw11.0.2 and python3.12.2 and pyside 6.6.2 and 6.6.3 again with no luck. Have you been experiencing this issue? And is there any solution?

When I emit a dict instance, does it get converted into another object? It seems the items get sorted alphabetically.

Does PySide6 support macOS 10?

My app is based on Pyside6 and packaged with pyinstaller on macOS 11. A macOS 10 user reports that the app crashes on start on her machine.

Then I migrated the whole app to PyQt5, and the crash disappeared.

Can you collect a stack trace or reduce the crash to a simple reproducer? If so, report it as a bug to bugreports.qt.io.

That another app does not provide source code, there is only a binary. I can't get the stack trace. I asked the author and he suggested use a newer macOS.

I suspect it's that Qt6 doesn't support macOS 10, because I ran a minimal Pyside6 code and got "Qt6 requires macOS 11, but your system is 10" critical warning. But I didn't find Qt official announcement that Qt6 does not support macOS 10 after a simple search. So I am not 100% sure my suspect is correct.

Thank you! The doc says Qt 6.4 supports macOS 10.14&10.15, but I get warning on 10.15 when importing QApplication from Pyside 6.5.2 screenshot: https://postimg.cc/XpHTnds5 Is Pyside 6.5.2 based on Qt 6.4?

I installed Pyside 6.4.3 and this time the warning disappears!
