pyside6-deploy is a wrapper around nuitka btw, in case you got a bit confused with the whole "use nuitka" promotion in the last messages :P

then there is no difference? I looked, like pyside6-deploy uses an old version, like 2.7, and now it's like 4

That's why I don't use pyside6-deploy. The version of Nuitka it uses is older.
We update nuitka little by little, we cannot be bleeding edge because we often discover some issues and report back to the nuitka people, and considering we release pyside every X months, it's always the case of being a bit behind.
The latest version that we are working on is 4.0, but there are still some failing tests with that version.

I looked, it looks like it's better to build through pyside-deploy. since I tried it with the new version anyway, I didn't seem to find any difference, but at least pyside-deploy says that you can't build an application with sql for macos
Austin RhodesIf you do find a problem with Nuitka and macOS, I'd report it to the Nuitka maintainers. Otherwise issues won't get fixed.
