Was apparently Norway's first car ferry in 1918. it struggled with low engine power, especially when currents were strong in the Karmsund strait. Decommissioned in 1955 when the Karmsund Bridge opened.

Actually ignore that, it was just someone doing the loss meme with the actual character sheet.

Hey crinklebutts, maybe this is a little TOO "retro" for even this group, but does anyone know what to do with a bad bottle of lamp oil? I just bought a new bottle of Crown Ultra-Pure Lamp Oil from Walmart, and it seems to vaporize too slowly. I filled a lantern with it, let it sit for a few minutes so the wick could soak it up, and then lit the lantern, and the lantern soon began burning its wick. I've had this lantern for years and it has never burnt its wick before, except when run dry. And I've had other oil lamps do this same thing, and stop doing it when dumped out and refilled with different oil. Is there something I can mix with the oil to make it burn better? For anyone not familiar with how oil lamps work, keep in mind that most are not pressure-sealed, so no fuel that gives off explosive vapors can be used (thus, no gasoline or anything like that—if it readily burns without a wick, it's too volatile).

mixing it could cause dangerous issues, that stuff is paraffin based from what ive found, not kero so it wicks differently, from what im reading you need to keep it topped off and either use a fresh wick or clean the one in it

Paraffin is just the British word for kerosene. Lamp oil, either way, is highly refined, very low viscosity, petroleum-based oil.

I'm familiar with how to adjust and trim the wick in an oil lamp. I've been using these for years. Only recently have I began to have this trouble with burning wicks.
