? Some apps are paid on google play and free on f-droid. Does it make the app ilegall to share?

So let's just resolve this for once and all, as I took the liberty to directly contact the author. He's expressed he's okay with it, but the publisher isn't. As such, there's no definitive agreement to share it, and thus it is piracy to do so. Further complaints about this will be forwarded to Yoshi directly

many I know don't even have the box... except for those who want to resell them for profits
since quite some time ago, our telcos store that IMEI info for us, in case of reports of theft or loss of phones, so users no longer need to have that box or struggle to recover it if the need arises. many of us also leave the shop without the box. the telcos also probably recycled the box for us, haha
