most software would have license to forbid reverse engineering it, so it's illegal, but I'm not keen to delve into what people do about it given that the software is on Play Store, I'm assuming that it's some legit stuffs and not malware, so you are wading into a dangerous area regardless of your opinion

if the developer doesn't like it and comes after you, you will be in trouble

I think for knowledge, it's fun, but personally, even after reading those, I still can't avoid stepping on a mime... so... it doesn't solve the problem for me 😂
