Hey everyone! 👋
I’m running into a frustrating issue since the latest update:
I’m recording a standard screen recording of a presentation. I use the 16:9 crop preset in Screen Studio and have Padding set to 0.
However, as soon as the video is cropped or exported, Screen Studio applies the selected background texture/overlay across the entire screen/video. Even with Padding at 0, the background pattern/waves stay layer-rendered over the whole presentation in the exported MP4.
I’ve tried resetting various settings, but every time I crop the recording, the background forces itself onto the main video layer.
Is this a known bug in the latest version, or is there a new setting/toggle I need to turn off to disable this behavior?
Thanks for any help!
Hey team! I updated to the latest version of ScreenStudio Version 4.0.1-4897 (4.0.1-4897) (MacOS) and now when I save a project I just recorded (as the .screenstudio file) and I go to > Show Package Contents (to inspect the file and see the full screen recording file, along with the full camera recording file, and full audio recording files as separate file assets I can hand my editors)... those are no longer nested inside the 'recording' subfolder.
What's up with this & what is now my best/easiest way of exporting those main 3 source files I hand to my editors?
hey guys, new to the app, loving it so far. In a previous version, I was able to record the audio through my focusrite set up and then change it from mono to stereo. In this latest version, I don’t appear to have that option?
Hi hi,
I'm on MacBook Pro 2024 and running Version 4.0.2-4909
Can't find "Improve microphone audio", nor "Microphone audio mode" for that matter 🎙️
Is there something I'm missing?
sorry if this is a silly question, but I am new here and just got my license today. Can I simultaneously run what’s in production as well as a beta release?
There are no silly questions! And yes, our beta works as a separate app, and you can have it installed alongside the prod version. Feel free to grab it from here: https://screen.studio/beta.
