what sff case actually survives being carried around in a backpack?
i’m building my first proper sff desktop and it won’t be living on a desk 24/7. i take a lot of trail running trips on weekends, so ideally the whole pc needs to fit in a backpack with running shoes, food containers, and the usual junk without me treating it like a piece of glass
i’ve been looking at the velka 3, formd t1, ncase m1 and dan a4. the tiny size is obviously nice, but i’m more interested in what happens after the pc has been thrown in a car, carried around, and generally moved a lot
the gpu is the part i’m most unsure about. i need something that can handle 1440p, so i can’t really go ultra-low-profile, and i’m wondering if a bigger/heavier gpu becomes a problem in these tiny cases when the system gets bounced around
for people who actually travel with their sff builds, what case has held up the best? i’d rather carry an extra pound than discover a loose riser or bent gpu at a trailhead
budget is around $200 for the case. mostly trying to find the sweet spot between genuinely small and “please don’t touch my computer” fragile
