Just shipped: OSS Funding Matcher If you maintain an open source project, there's a good chance you're doing critical work for free while real funding programs exist that you've never heard of — or didn't think you qualified for. What it does: 🔗 Connects your GitHub repo 📊 Scores it using OpenSSF's criticality methodology 🎯 Matches you against 14 verified, currently-active funding programs (GitHub Secure Open Source Fund, Sovereign Tech Fund, NumFOCUS, and more — every single link personally checked, no dead ends) ✍️ Drafts a ready-to-send funding pitch with AI Built with Next.js, Supabase, Auth.js, and Gemini/Groq for the AI layer. Try it → [https://oss-funding-matcher.vercel.app] Repo - [https://github.com/shuayb344/oss-funding-matcher.git] Feedback welcome — especially if you know a funding program that should be on the list. There's a "suggest a funder" button built right in. @shu_codes

I was planning to jump straight into a 3rd project, but decided to pump the brakes for a bit. Looking back at my first two projects (Truthwall + OSS Funding Matcher), I realized the real gap wasn't more features — it was how I ship. No tests, no CI/CD, no containers. Just code → deploy and hope. So instead of building something new, I'm going back to strengthen what I already have: - Writing tests (Vitest/Jest) - Dockerizing both apps - Setting up GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines - daily DSA practice on the side Sometimes the move isn't "build more," it's "build what you have properly." Will be sharing progress here as I go. @shu_codes

A useful tip for anyone building with AI agents, Trust me you will need this one Ever noticed your AI agent getting slower, hitting context limits, or costing more because of huge logs, JSON responses, or code? aren't you tired of it 😭 Check out Headroom 🔥 — it compresses tool outputs, logs, files, and RAG results before they reach the LLM, helping reduce token usage while keeping the important information. Might be worth trying if you’re working with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or other AI coding agents. ➡️ https://github.com/chopratejas/headroom @veiledDev14

Recently I was learning testing (unit, integration, and component testing with Vitest + React Testing Library) — and applied it to my projects Started with pure logic functions , then moved to API route tests with mocked DB calls, then component tests for the React side. These were the resources I used: 🔗 https://youtu.be/XdDZKeM5_pQ?si=UvHGRxno2Ol4_ij4 🔗 https://youtu.be/6dOpQIwyV6g?si=Nug7iNlyWWuWzVd_ Docker + CI/CD next @shu_codes

You can't skip chapters, that's not how life works. You have to read every line, meet every character. You won't enjoy all of it. Hell, some chapters will make you cry for weeks. You will read things you don't want to read, you will have moments when you don't want the pages to end. But you have to keep going. Stories keep the world revolving. Live yours, don't miss out. Good Night 🌃 @shu_codes

Shipped wappajs: an open-source TypeScript framework for LLM agents that live on WhatsApp. Typed tools, per-chat sessions, human handoff, one small agent loop. The same agent runs on Baileys, the Cloud API or Twilio. @sifendev

I built See Through a place where you can anonymously share your experience working at a company. I’ve been adding companies I know, but if you can’t find yours, you can add it using just the company’s website. The site will pull the basic company info from there. Just make sure the company doesn’t already exist before adding it. Write an honest review about your experience. No fake reviews, false claims, or unnecessary bad words. You can also read reviews from people who worked at companies you know and comment if you think something is inaccurate or doesn’t match your experience. You do need to register with your email, but your reviews are anonymous unless you choose to show your identity. And one important thing: don’t believe every review 100%. There’s no perfect way to verify that everyone actually worked at the company, so use your judgment. If you see something inappropriate or clearly problematic, there’s a report button please use it. The more people contribute, the more useful See Through becomes. Check it out, share it with someone who might find it useful, and add your experience.
