    Yes, the 2nd mention of the optimizer in the blogpost confirms: This ordering is not affected by the use of the optimizer, since it is a distinct stage of the pipeline, performed after code generation.

Good to know. I just got back to a computer and added the same tests from the post, I didn't detect the bug. Not that my contracts had anything that would've opened up the vulnerability but always need to be cautious

Goodday guys , thanks for the compiler its very performant.

i noticed the hardhat config does not affect the compilation of solx, : "contracts/EthArb/pools/Fluid.sol": { version: "0.8.34", path: "/home/ubuntu/.local/bin/solx", settings: { optimizer: { enabled: true, mode: "3", runs: runs } } }
O
I have used different mode : (2,3,z) and no difference.

Thanks for reporting! Could you maybe upload a quick repo/repro and I can have a look.

    Congrats on the release - and on beating solc in legacy mode! One thing I'm curious about, though. The compilation time improvements don't seem to be orders of magnitude, and the --via-ir numbers changed only slightly compared to the last measurements we made at Matter Labs. My understanding was that further --via-ir improvements were mostly frontend-bound. What's the main bottleneck at this point? Is it still the frontend, or has something else become the limiting factor?

Ok, it seems I got it myself. It's still solx with solc frontend, not solx with slang frontend so the figures. The naming mad me to guess the latter.

Hey guys, quite impressed by Solx. My team is observing impressive diffs in gas use and bytecode size vs solc 0.8.37 optimized + via IR. We'd be willing to contribute and help reach production readiness to use it on our AMM and oracle (most efficient EVM push oracle ever deployed)
