Example: _I was, Ali was, The cat was._ 2. Remember the friends of were: You, We, They, Many people. All the groups use were. Example: _You were, We were, They were, Ali and Abu were._ 3. The easiest trick: Look at the subject at the front of the sentence. If there is the word and (My brother and I, Anna and Sarah, My parents) it automatically means many people = were 4. Don't get confused with You: Even though You` can be just one person, in English it always uses were, not was. This is where most people make a mistake Rule mudah: was = untuk I, He, She, It, 1 orang / 1 haiwan / 1 benda were = untuk You, We, They, ramai orang 1. I was at the shopping centre yesterday morning. 2. My brother and I were at the cinema last night. 3. She was at the zoo on Saturday. 4. They were at the park this afternoon. 5.
