🤔What happened to Facebook?
A big article has been released on https://blog.cloudflare.com/october-2021-facebook-outage/ about the fall of Facebook.
In simple terms. Facebook and almost all of its external and internal services collapsed yesterday. Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp were lying, corporate and business Facebook services were lying, neither websites nor mobile applications responded.

The Internet, which many consider to be a single network, is actually made up of many smaller networks, in fact it is a grid of grids. In order for information from one subnet to get into another, a system was built to exchange information about the configuration and location of nodes in subnets, the routers exchange information with each other about the location of the networks under their jurisdiction using the BGP protocol.
So, one of these subnets announced to everyone inside and outside that part of the Facebook network is now not with her. It so happened that it was on this subnet that the NS servers that were responsible for the domains owned by the company lived, which means that from some point on, everyone who tried to find out on which IP address facebook.com was located began to receive an empty response.
