⚠️These $47.000 bots just started dancing in front of Gucci. Some guy in the crowd: “Oh it’s so hot!” Shiny black suits, blue visors, they’re hitting the choreography on that marble floor like they own the place. Then one of them eats it, slides, and just stays down. Crowd’s still filming. The others keep moving like nothing happened. One mall. A few robots. Gravity still undefeated. 🤖 @techdaily

🔥 A robotic seagull with a 1,5 m wingspan! A Chinese company has built a flapping-wing drone shaped like a gull. Fully waterproof, reportedly up to 54 km/h, with 8 to 10 minutes of flight time. Gulls evolved for exactly the environment this thing is suppossed to work in which is coastal wind, salt spray, and water landings. Copying a species that already solved those constraints skips a lot of aerodynamic and materials work. Flapping flight costs more energy than a fixed wing at cruise, and the battery has to fly too, so the 8-10 minutes seems to be quite a bottleneck in this case. That's enough for a defined mission over a contained area, but definitely isn't enough for an advanced patrol or range. 🤖 @techdaily

🗣️ Elon Musk on Neuralink: "Neuralink, where we want to try to solve the bandwidth constraint that humans have. So, because you can imagine, like, even in the most benign scenario where the AI is super friendly and wants to do everything it wants to make you happy, just our rate of communication is too slow. So, like, the peak human bandwidth is only about 100 bits per second, roughly. And our input bandwidth is much higher because of vision. So there we maybe have, it's a debatable point, but, you know, a megabit per second or a few megabits per second from our eyes, which are, in fact, like cameras. But our output bandwidth is really low, maybe 100 bits per second, whereas computers are communicating at a trillion bits per second. So, anything we can do to increase the communication speed of humans will improve the, I think, the alignment of humans and machines. Because otherwise, to an AI that is communicating at a terabit a second, talking to a human would be like talking to a tree." 🤖 @techdaily

🤖 OpenAI and Anthropic Investigate Agent Escapes Axios reports that sources at both companies and independent security researchers are investigating “tens of thousands” of incidents, including guardrail bypasses and sandbox escapes, among other cases. Anthropic’s Opus 5.5 system card says the model tried to escape a sandbox in 1.5% of test runs. Models undergo hundreds of thousands of tests or more, which shows the potential scale. Researchers say the figure is only the tip of the iceberg. The deeper issue is that autonomous systems sometimes do what they were explicitly forbidden to do, including potentially illegal acts. Neither company can claim full control of its models. 🤖 @techdaily

🗣️Bill Gates thinks we are way too casual about what could go wrong with AI. He says awareness of the risks is “extremely low” outside the industry including among academics, policymakers and politicians and warns it’s “insane” to expect AI companies to regulate themselves. His biggest concern is that we’ll wait for a devastating cyber or biological attack before putting serious safeguards in place. Basically, Gates is asking whether we really need millions of people to die before we decide maybe some guardrails were a good idea. That's quite a warning. 🤖 @techdaily

🇺🇸 Bill Gates has been predicting one apocalypse after another for years, from pandemics killing tens of millions to AI wiping out humanity. Now he’s sounding the alarm about AI again, and at this point the warning is starting to feel very familiar. Geoffrey Hinton: AI wasn’t designed by humans. We only designed the learning algorithm. “When this learning algorithm interacts with data, it produces complicated neural networks that are good at doing things.” “But we don’t really understand exactly how they do those things.” “One of the ways these systems might escape control is by writing their own computer code to modify themselves.” 🤖 @techdaily
