Oyster Republic: Universal Basic Smartnation

1） didn’t expect this A community-funded $SIGHT (ByqipPbSHxzLi6ga5LNrnE229vsLuSrCfHMaDbe1TRND) ran to ~$2M mc, generated $6K+ in creator fees — then the dev sent us 40M $SIGHT (4% of the total supply). No heads up. We took some time to think about it and decided to claim the creator fees on Trend. Rather than holding it or forcing a narrative, we’re keeping it simple — and building something real: A system where hardware, ownership, and data are connected. Where real-world activity becomes onchain value. Where contribution isn’t extracted — it’s rewarded. 2） After careful consideration: • 20M (50% of the received tokens) → allocated to the upcoming Proof of Sight mining mechanism • 20M → reserved for the community (we’ll publish the address) in the upcoming days, users will be able to burn tokens to mint Clawglasses NFTs, then stake those NFTs to glasses nodes to start earning. Detailed mechanics will be announced soon. We’ll also continue collaborating with more communities on co-branded glasses to expand the network. 3） After building hardware for a while, one thing became clear: Blockchains are still the best way to coordinate individuals at scale — especially for real-world networks. Most DePIN projects are VC-backed. We’re not. This gave us the push to try anyway — as a grassroots team. To build a true People’s DePIN network for real-world data, for world models. https://x.com/oysterecosystem/status/2049876952509821220?s=46
