I kind of thought the same thing. it was a weird post posting all sorts of censorable items in Chinese...I wasn't convinced the person was actually a bot or spamming though but my skills weren't enough to figure it out

@oklopfer any updates regarding Pinephone Pro networking on Rhino? I can see the mailing list messages and that the issue remains open. Do you need a tester?

    I have confirmed that reverting the kernel patch fixes the issue, and there is a revert patch waiting in queue for both mainline+stable: https://lore.kernel.org/all/[email protected] Now we are just waiting for it to be accepted upstream really, which some folks from the regression team had approved of already, but will still take some time…I might send the patch in to the mobian team for now as their kernel builds are the ones currently used in rhino

hey, anyone got a spare image from the old xenial build for the pinephone pro? I assume it's possible to use the volte script on there, and then just unlock the filesystem to run a system upgrade. it's not a perfect idea, but it might be a good temporary fix until the script is reimplemented in the focal build.

okay, in the meantime, I tried running rhino on my pinephone 1.2, it seems to stop on a blank screen after the boot logo disappears. I am running this is on a functional, month old 128 gb sd card.

I shouldn't be experiencing this issue, since I used the same flashing method on the pinephone pro version (disk image restore via gnome disks)

      I've used the same method multiple times with different distributions without any issues. unless rhino needs a specific installation method, it should be working.

I should mention this is also the lomiri version. I'm still having issues with the ppp variant with lomiri, but that has been addressed and at least gets passed the logon screen.
