Dear developer community,
At the Volla Community Days, the Mitteldeutschland TV team carried out the live broadcast on favourable terms.
For its part, the team is seeking support for the further development of its production software based on SRS
https://github.com/ossrs/srs
This in-house development comprises a user interface for controlling and monitoring live broadcasts across multiple channels.
The team mostly works on a voluntary basis and can be contacted via @Franken_Power.
If someone knows someone, who could be interested to help the broadcasting team to maintain their solution.

JamiMT6789/MT8781 doesn't have a Linux BSP afaik only Android one which the proprietary GPU drivers are re-used from by Ubuntu Touch, Droidian, SailfishOS etc so far. you'd need to port mainline kernel which is still a very work-in-progress thing in general even on postmarketOS side
Okay, so I'm going into kernel porting. Any tip on booting custom kernel w/o flashing it ? (trying to be non-invasive at first ... hope I never need to solder pinheaders ;-))
N J N J https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/reference-device-ports/halium13/volla-tablet/volla-mimir has everything you'd need to build workdir/tmp/partitions/{boot,vendor_boot,dtbo}.img compatible with UT with just a ./build.sh -k appending -c at first would only clone everything allowing for changes to workdir/downloads/android_kernel_volla_mt8781/ before even running a build. but again since this is GKI there's kernel modules in the mix failing to deploy which (from workdir/tmp/system/lib/modules) to rootfs properly may make the OS unbootable
lk bootloader only looks at active A/B slot boot/vendor_boot/dtbo etc partitions, no USB devices so you're on your own there too with kexec from initramfs/ramdisk assuming that works or replacing the whole lk bootloader which probably moves the discussion already more towards postmarketOS mainline matrix perhaps
J not Volla with G99 plus mainline would more or less be a requirement there to be of any actual use. for a few other devices there's https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/merge_requests/8365, but again mainline room on https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Matrix_and_IRC would be a better place to continue this
