I don’t watch RT. They have mentioned their disapproval with the NATO expansion before. I think they probably should have acted for the Baltics but they were still recovering economically. The pivot point was the Maidan. Russia had offered the objectively better deal to Ukraine’s financial plight when NATO overthrew the government and replaced it with one friendly to them and hostile to Russia. That’s why they moved on Crimea which housed their naval base.
