Buy sparkling wine and brandy made in your country if you don’t want to pay the higher price for imports. Your choice. That aside, manufacturers - in no time - will move production to your country, as soon as possible, like Toyota, Mitsubishi, Ford and Mercedes Benz used to do in Australia, a nation with a population of the size of California, to become more competitive, creating tens of thousands of jobs for Australians. All it took was an across the board 45% tariff on all import. Abolishing that default tariff - on the altar of free trade- turned Australia into a 3rd world country that is 1 trillion dollars in debt and has turned its citizens into slaves of the tax office.
