Another major drawback is that megacities can put considerable pressure on infrastructure. When millions of people live in cities, many public facilities become overcrowded, including public transport, healthcare services and restaurants. As a result, people may spend a lot of time on the road, roads may experiens heavy traffic, while hospitals and other public services may become overcrowded, causing residents to feel stressed. In addition, this can cause accommodation and living costs to rise significantly, making it difficult for low-income and middle-income families to afford suitable housing.
