it works. vJunos router on Pnet6 works for me, but it needs a small tweak. I simply ran the image file but renamed the folder name to use the vJunos switch instead. This way, it appears as vJunos switch when you select the node in Web UI, even though the actual image is still vJunos router. That’s how I got it to work..

I know it's an old message but should give a try, do you have an active link/PDF of it.
Thank you.

It has never worked for me to run a juniper switch. It has always failed me because when it runs, it enters a loop. Could you help me run a juniper switch, please? Or give me the picture so I can prove it. Thank you

No worries….
Re: my vJunos router working scenario….
Yes, there are some underlying requirements.( sorry about that I forgot to mention details)
First, yeah the vJunos switch needs to be working because I run the router image file based on the vJunos switching naming/folder.
To get the vJunos switch up and running:
1./ I am using Pnet v6.
2./ I am running Pnet6 on bare metal (directly installed on my Intel NUC10).
3./ Place the template file (for the vJunos switch) in /opt/unetlab/html/templates/.
4./ Make sure the qemu version is working with 5.2.0 install it if necessary (apt install libsdl2-2.0-0)
That’s how I’ve set it up in my environment. Justto let you know, I never tested it in a VM or Vmware workstation environment.
You can refer to the picture I posted yesterday. The juniper switch version is 23.4.. I believe their images are free to download from their portal.
I hope this helps or at least gives you some idea of the requirements.

📀 Installation instructions - PNetLab v6 BETA release
⚠️ Read the full instructions and important notes before starting the process. After you finish reading them, follow the process step by step.
Step 1
Download the Ubuntu Server 20.04 ISO and install the OS on a VM or bare metal.
Step 2
Run the installation script as root (copy-paste the full thing):
curl -sL https://labhub.eu.org/api/raw/?path=/UNETLAB%20I/upgrades_pnetlab/Focal/install_pnetlab_v6.sh | bash
After the installation script finishes running, reboot the server.
ℹ️ Important notes
- Make sure to enable Virtualization on your system BIOS and make sure your hardware supports nested virtualization.
Check if you meet the requirements by running:
grep -cw vmx /proc/cpuinfo
Check if KVM was installed correctly after the installation script finishes running:
kvm-ok
- When installed on GCP, skip the setup wizard by pressing CTRL + C after the first reboot and if you're tired of having to do that at every login, ask how to disable in this chat.
⚠️ Remember this version is still on beta so you might encounter bugs and unfinished features.
