I've already explained my position. Most importantly, I believe that any network in Cosmos has no future because Cosmos itself is dying. Secret, in any form, has no future in Cosmos. Secondly, I believe that blaming only holders is extremely unfair. Existing SCRT holders do not receive new tokens from the mint.
How it works according to the proposal:
- Your current SCRT remains the same (your balance remains unchanged).
- But the total supply is significantly increased by the new mint.
- These new tokens are distributed only among:
- A new entity (led by Lisa Loud)
- Validators
- Relayers
- Builders
- Hack victims (remediation)
Regular SCRT holders (simple wallets, LPs, staked, etc.) receive nothing extra.
Their share of the total supply is simply diluted (in this example, from 100% to 20%).
This is dilution: old tokens remain, but their percentage of the overall pie drops sharply because a large pile of new tokens is created to finance the continuation of the network.
