You literally admit the token will die on arbitrum and you that you support that, but continue to say current plan bad because it will die.
I get dillution being a real concern. But you are supporting a death sentence because the other plan is in your opinion a death sentence?
Make it make sense.

Food for thought
On Arbitrum, SCRT has no value whatsoever. The only utility is "governance," but there is nothing to govern but inflation AKA dillution. In a proof-of-stake network, the inflation is rewards for securing the network. On Arbitrum, that doesnt exist, it is inflation for inflation's sake. There is no utility whatsoever, and the only benefit to staking SCRT is to gain inflation rewards on the token that can only vote on more inflation. Labs is setting inflation for first year too, so no governance on that even until next year.
It does allow the massive dillution and continued sale of inflation rewards to those who have large bags still at the cost of every other holder. And the likelihood of Arbitrum liquidity being higher than Secret is astronomically low ( I wold love to see evidence to the contrary)
I dont know any thinking investor that thinks that is investable or worth looking at, let alone survives. If there is no incentive to buy the token, sells outweigh buys.
Staying on Secret means dillution (assuming the proposal passes) and that is a fair concern that everyone must understand when making their choice.
On Secret L1 the token retains the utility it has always had. Securing the network consensus via Proof of stake, Gas fees, and Governance.
It makes sure the users who were impacted by the hack get something back and addresses the delisting issue.
Nothing says a better migration plan, platform upgrade, or tokenomics change can not be made afterwards. And with the plan Secret actually has the chance to make those decisions openly by community.
I believe the community does need to think about the future, afterall there is a quantum computing risk hanging over the entire space in the not so distant future. I even have some strong thoughts on how that can look. But the first step is ensuring continuity and survival to a point that future decisions can be a reality. This gives the community optionality.
Where the Arbitrum migration cut
I've already explained my position. Most importantly, I believe that any network in Cosmos has no future because Cosmos itself is dying. Secret, in any form, has no future in Cosmos. Secondly, I believe that blaming only holders is extremely unfair. Existing SCRT holders do not receive new tokens from the mint.
How it works according to the proposal:
- Your current SCRT remains the same (your balance remains unchanged).
- But the total supply is significantly increased by the new mint.
- These new tokens are distributed only among:
- A new entity (led by Lisa Loud)
- Validators
- Relayers
- Builders
- Hack victims (remediation)
Regular SCRT holders (simple wallets, LPs, staked, etc.) receive nothing extra.
Their share of the total supply is simply diluted (in this example, from 100% to 20%).
This is dilution: old tokens remain, but their percentage of the overall pie drops sharply because a large pile of new tokens is created to finance the continuation of the network.
So why should everyone get new tokens—validators, the team... —while ordinary holders have to pay for this whole party? You've come up with a brilliant idea. Of course, this benefits the validators, so I encourage all SCRT holders to think and vote for themselves.
It appears based on your own words that certain death is better than dillution.
You are entitled to your opinion. It just does not make logical sense.
And as I have seen others mention, if you have a better idea that makes viable sense, please share it.
Beyond validators, the people behind these efforts are Secret. Make no mistake about that. We are the reason the network functions period, and we are the only ones capable of ensuring continuity.
I don't need to talk about network securities but I'll say it again: the Cosmos ecosystem is dead, the code is outdated, and new threats lurk at every turn. But you want to create 1.5 billion useless tokens and hand them out to the team, validators, hack victims...No thanks.
Yes, it's been clear for a long time why you're speaking here, dear Papi. You have a validator, you'll receive new tokens, and you'll be a member of a new team. Your interests have long been clear to me.

Follow @SCRT_Intern on X for Secret Network updates.
According to Anewbiz, the SecretNetwork account on X no longer represents the real SCRT community. It only has a small amount of pre-scheduled content remaining, after which it will simply redirect users to the community account above.
