δLeonTop RAM Consumers. And that because I use them. Exclude System apps yet, which are those who need to run 24/7.
Top ram consumers are those shitty greedy ai corps

Naah. I watch videos (alot) on Firefox. That's why. If I don't use it for media, Firefox never approach top ten in the list.

δLeonNo harm taken. We're just talking.
Getting back to ur context... Yeah ff browsers does generally consume more ram than chromium ones( not the bloated ones)..

Yes, on windows, brave consumes about 300-500 mb of ram while firefox consumes 1-1.5 gb with 4-6 tabs open along with youtube.
That will be a very long talks because it depend to many things.
Like 1 famous topic here;
For sure, Firefox JS engine is less powerful than Chromium or support less. The question still, does everyone use everything in one go?
Does site we visit use heavy JS?
Does site use heavy tables or list? Multi layered DIV, Firefox legendary weak with this.
Does site contain many moving medias? Again, Firefox weak with this.
Chromium will throw all resources available to works on those. So does Firefox though.
In the end, alot of resources will used by both anyway, depend on the site.

Yeah, i. Mullvad browser currently.. And its mem usage is substantially higher than on chromium(ungoogled), eve with same no. Of tabs open.. Chromium does have that inactive tab mem free up thing though, which helps a lot
δLeonI don't know. I tried many Chromium forks. But end up back to use Firefox.
I always find reasons to stop using Chromium based;
I use both.. Mullvad browser(ff) and ungoogled chromium

Even crDroid's stock Launcher only eat 200MB at worst💀
Must be a bug either from factory or its angry bcz certain stuff was uninstalled, does logcat/dmesg even say anything related to it?
InsomniacJust frustrated... Had to get ram and ssd recently.. paid a fortune
Same😭
Just looked at e-comm recently for 16GB RAM, even DDR3 version costs more than an old 4c4t CPU💀.
Every time i found good deals it quickly out of stock within a day, leaving the worst $$$ options😭
If ur looking for cheap RAM rn, i suggest buying it quickly as you can, before cheap stocks ran out, and leaving you with only expensive one. Thankfully had bought 8GB RAM + 500GB SSD couple yrs ago under 600k IDR, nowadays at that price u can only get the 8GB RAM (literally doubled the price, 16GB ones? quadrupled💀)

Anyway how much you have to pay up for the capacity/performance?

I said to him sometime ago, probability of race condition when he also use 3rd party Launcher. That Vivo OEM Launcher is trying to do its jobs but blocked and keep trying.
Some Vivo devices set Vivo Launcher priority to far under -1. So it always win. I think other OEM might do that too.
I don't know what he turned off-on with OEM Launcher it self. We know he also like to use something like App Ops setter. Probability again.
