I was searching for any RNG in iost docs for smart contract and found BigNumber.random method in sources. I checked that in code but it dont works 🤔 Is it really works or it just was left in the code without possibility to use it?

If you look at the Dice contract, they give an example for Random Number Generator.

i tried to do BigNumber.random() but getting error that it is not a method

Can’t have RNG like that on the blockchain.

Since it generates a random seed, and the seed would be different on each node.
The RNG need to generate the same value no matter what node runs it.

BigNumber is an open source library that IOST includes, but they disable that method and many others.
