Yes. Nash team sounded optimistic until a few days ago, they were expecting to be approved and things to start moving. When they got rejected, David left since his mandate is directly tied to MiCA approval.
I think David was a perfect candidate and if he is still available when Nash gets MiCA, I would still offer him the job.

Or did he just make his profile look like the perfect candidate? 🤷

He was an excellent candidate on paper. The issue is that Nash doesn't decide whether the CEO is suitable the AFM does. If Nash formally appointed him before completing an informal pre-screening with the regulator, and the AFM then raised specific objections about his person, the exit becomes immediate and non-negotiable. If the problem were related to obtaining the MiCA license itself, they wouldn't have reopened the job posting so quickly.

I was also thinking about this. That would mean MiCA process is going well and they would get the license shortly after announcing the CEO. I am not sure if CEO is really the last remaining obstacle.
id 1274403809Anyone remember how the last CEO flew out of the window? Mr Kellogg vanished in the most unprofessional way, Mr Rob too..
I think maybe cos Luna didn't workout and it cost Nash a lot of money
id 1274403809Maybe or maybe not.. but there is a word in English, decency..... imagine how the comunity would have felt if we knew whats happening... nahhh, we got your money from STO and now we are a private company.. howz that?
We get quartal reports and admins often discuss things here so I would disagree with your framing
