Some of the stuff in the book is a bit out there but overall, I found it really enjoyable. Honestly just feel bad for the dude and hope he repents.

Not yet! I was looking into getting some from Cultures for Health a couple years ago but theirs had such bad reviews. I also found their water kefir grains iffy, but I had stored them for a while in the fridge so that probably affected quality. I got busy while pregnant and mine died but when I was postpartum, I ordered from Yemoos and their water kefir grains have been amazing, and they sell yogurt cultures too.

Guys, I got some old metal roof panels for free for our new rabbitry. They’d been in a pile of poison ivy so I started washing them and upon looking more closely, realized they’d actually been painted. There’s a ton of peeling lead paint on the one side and then they’re totally rusted out on the other. I really don’t have time to sand off the lead paint so I thought about using something to seal it, then painting the rusted side. The rusted side would be facing up (exterior) and the sealed lead paint side would be facing down (interior).
For those with experience, does this make sense or would you recommend another route? Also, what could I use to seal the lead paint and can I just spray paint the exterior facing panel?

Lead based is also oil based. Clean and scuff it if you hope for any coating to stick.
Rust side fast and nasty; wire brush, course sand paper or whatever to knock off the loose scale. Tung oil the rust with one or 2 coats. It soaks in and dries hard. Give it a light scuff and paint over it.

Most likely. Coarser the better. It’s more of a mechanical bond than a sticky bond.

Well... I took today off from my 8-5 "day job" to process another round of chickens for our farm business. Often we're able to start early enough that I can be done before heading to work. Today however, we're doing a big batch that will take a good portion of the morning. I still have to set up the tent... but this is how chicken processing should be... open fresh air, sanitizing sunlight, and green grass as far as you can see. That's a far cry from the dark commercial processing sites that are more like CIA black sites. Our chickens stay on pasture until the moment we process. They aren't trucked across states to sit in a disgusting USDA facility and float in chillers with fecal sludge measured in feet at the bottom. Fun times. Last year I turned 4 pigs into carcass halves and hung them on the porch eves to chill overnight (right around freezing). Fed ex showed up late and the city driver nearly passed out at the sight.
Apparently, people are more comfortable with bacon coming from a playdough squeeze tube than an animal carcass. 🤷🏼♂️
