My understanding is that you have to submit the case again with the new company name.
My process had this situation and it had to start over, luckily it was during the beginning of the first PERM process, before recruiting.
OmidNot sure if you noticed it, but Nov officially started by 10 cases today per immilane
Do you mean October? We are still not yet done with September
D SagarHello Everyone,
Is there anyone from IBM here?
Did IBM apply for your PERM in the recent past (in year 2026) ?
Can you please ping me the process you followed to get the process initiated?
I tried to get this information and no one is providing complete / correct information.
Thank you!
I am not from ibm, you can check perm website and filter by company name https://immilane.com/employer?e=IBM%20Corporation
176 certified cases in 2026

Hey! I went through the exact same situation, you need to ask your employer if the change or acquisition type is successor in interest, if it is, then you are good and you can continue with your PERM as it is. If it is not a successor in interest (my situation) then you have to restart the whole process, I hope this is not your case. Good luck!
id 7197879065Anyone knows the average time it takes to get I 485 approved for EB2 category if you filed using concurrent mode?. Most colleagues say it’s 4-5 months but the USCIS website processing time is saying something different
4-5 months? When was that? With current backlogs one would easily wait for a year. I have couple of friends waiting for 9+ months already
