They don't owe us money. They failed on their promises and misled us with them. So we bought their token/nft's etc. Ans now they screwed us by slow rugging. They owe us better communication, follow up on their promises and most importantly; a game. But they don't owe us money. A new team could pick up development where they stopped. Making our tokens/nft's more valuable again. And then that team will start earning from the fee's or potentially new items etc. Could be a good deal for a new team to not start from scratch and have somewhat of a community still. Altough Sandeep and the crew didn't make it very easy for the community to stick around. And for Sandeep's team it's probably the only way to still have CropBytes live on. If that's what they still want.

After all the mismanagement I don't think they can ask for much money from a potential new team though. Their game might be the only thing of value, but the goodwill is very negatively valued, with how badly the community has been treated and how the game is now perceived by the public (a rug). So maybe giving it away for free is the only way. While keeping a small percentage of ownership. As a new team will have to work very hard to get back the trust.
They have already loaded the game, they just have to look at who owns the cbx
Investment funds and exchanges that have already lost the money

Had a good talk with “Will87” , explained the current situation and discussed what we are trying to do in-order to come out from it , Hoping we will get some conclusion and get a direction to go forward.

here it is. Please add your inputs if I miss out anything. @sandeepCB Summary of Discussion with Sandeep – CropBytes Farms 1. Background I had a discussion with Sandeep, the director of the CropBytes Farms game, regarding the current situation of the game and its future operation. The main issue raised during the discussion is that the existing operation has reached a point where there is no longer sufficient funding available to continue covering the ongoing running costs of the game. According to Sandeep, the current financial situation means that continuing CropBytes Farms under the existing operating model is not sustainable without either a major restructuring or another party taking responsibility for the operation. During the discussion, Sandeep presented two main options for the future of the game. 2. Current Situation The key issue is the ongoing operating cost required to keep CropBytes Farms running. Sandeep advised that he currently does not have sufficient funds remaining to continue paying these expenses. As a result, a decision needs to be made regarding how the existing game, community, technology and player assets should be handled going forward. The objective would be to avoid simply shutting down the existing ecosystem and, where possible, preserve the value that has already been created through the game and its player base. Option 1 – Develop a New Game and Transition Existing Assets The first option proposed by Sandeep is to develop a completely new game and transition the existing CropBytes game assets into the new game. Under this approach, the current CropBytes Farms game would effectively become the foundation or source ecosystem for a new gaming project. Existing game assets would be migrated, converted or otherwise recognised within the new game. Potential Structure The new project could potentially: create a new game with a different gameplay model; reuse or integrate selected CropBytes technology and game concepts; recognise existing
The second option proposed by Sandeep is for another person, company or investor group to take over CropBytes Farms and continue operating the existing game. Under this model, rather than replacing CropBytes with a new project, the existing game would continue operating. Sandeep indicated that he would be willing to assist with the transition. A particularly important point raised during the discussion is that he believes the operating costs could be substantially reduced. He indicated that, with restructuring and cost optimisation, the game could potentially be operated at approximately: US$8,000 per month. This represents the estimated ongoing operating cost after the system and operation have been trimmed down. Potential Role of Sandeep Sandeep indicated that he could assist the new operator with reducing the cost base and transitioning the operation. His involvement could potentially include areas such as: identifying unnecessary infrastructure; reducing hosting and server expenses; simplifying operational processes; identifying unnecessary services or subscriptions; reducing development and support overhead; transferring operational knowledge; explaining the existing technical architecture; assisting with transition of systems and accounts; and helping the new operator understand how the current game is maintained. The exact scope and duration of his support would still need to be formally agreed. 3. Estimated Financial Requirement for a Takeover Based on the approximately US$8,000 monthly running-cost figure discussed, the minimum operating capital required would be approximately: 3 months: US$24,000 6 months: US$48,000 12 months: US$96,000 24 months: US$192,000 These figures represent operating costs only. They would not necessarily include: acquisition or takeover consideration; new development; marketing; legal costs; accounting; additional employees; community incentives; token liquidity; exchange-related costs; business restructuring; security audits; ma

Monthly server costs. Databases. Source-code repositories. Deployment processes. Domain ownership. APIs. Third-party services. Wallet infrastructure. Smart contracts. Security arrangements. Backup systems. Monitoring systems. Administrator accounts. Development documentation. Intellectual Property It must be clearly established who owns: the CropBytes name; trademarks; game source code; artwork; characters; graphics; music; databases; smart contracts; websites; domains; social-media accounts; and other intellectual property. Any takeover agreement would need to specify exactly which assets and rights are being transferred. Player and Community Information Information should also be obtained regarding: number of registered accounts; monthly active users; daily active users; number of paying users; player retention; geographical distribution; Discord members; Telegram members; social-media followers; existing player complaints; outstanding player commitments; and community sentiment. 6. Existing Digital Assets and Player Obligations One of the most important areas requiring clarification is the treatment of existing CropBytes digital assets. This could include: NFTs; game items; animals; farms; buildings; land; tokens; rewards; marketplace assets; player balances; and other digital assets. A takeover of the game may also effectively involve taking responsibility for maintaining the ecosystem in which these assets exist. The legal and commercial obligations associated with existing assets therefore need to be clearly understood before accepting responsibility for the project. 7. Comparison of the Two Options Option 1 – New Game This option potentially provides greater freedom to redesign the product. It allows the project to: remove legacy technical problems; create new gameplay; r

Stage 6 – Asset Migration Existing CropBytes assets could then potentially be integrated or migrated into the new ecosystem under a carefully designed migration model. This approach could reduce the immediate risk of abandoning the existing community while still allowing the project to evolve into a more sustainable game. 9. Preliminary Assessment Based on the discussion, the immediate problem is not necessarily that CropBytes must cease to exist. The primary issue appears to be the lack of available funding to continue covering the operating costs under the current arrangement. Sandeep has therefore presented two possible paths: 1. Build a new game and transition the existing CropBytes assets into it; or 2. Transfer the existing game to another operator who can continue running it, with Sandeep assisting in reducing the operating cost to approximately US$8,000 per month. The takeover option could be particularly interesting if the game still has: an active player community; meaningful revenue; valuable intellectual property; functioning technology; useful digital assets; brand recognition; and realistic opportunities to increase revenue. However, the US$8,000 monthly cost should not by itself be used to determine whether the takeover is attractive. The more important calculation is: Existing Revenue + Realistic Future Revenue versus Operating Cost + Development Cost + Existing Liabilities. A complete financial, technical and legal review should therefore be carried out before making any commitment. 10. Recommended Next Step The next step should be to request a structured information package from Sandeep before discussing any final takeover arrangement. This should include: Current monthly revenue. Detailed current monthly expenses. Detailed proposed US$8,000 monthly operating-cost breakdown. Player and active-user statistics. Full list of company and game assets. Full list of liabilities and outstanding obligations. Technical architecture and infrastructure. So

ActarusThank you for the detailed breakdown. I have a few questions. 1- why is it you that got contacted by @sandeepCB ? 2- why this resume was not shared by the owner himself (@sandeepCB)? 3- When will he share financial and technical details knowing he disappeared for months?
Thank you. Those are fair questions, and I want to clarify a few things. 1. Regarding why I spoke with @sandeepCB: I am not an official representative of CropBytes, nor have I been appointed as a spokesperson for Sandeep. I had a direct discussion with him about the current situation of the game and possible ways forward. Because I care about the CB community and did not want the discussion to remain vague, I summarised what I understood from that conversation and started thinking about possible solutions. 2. Regarding why @sandeepCB did not publish the summary himself: that is really a question only he can answer. The summary I shared was my record and interpretation of our discussion, not an official announcement from CropBytes or from Sandeep. I agree that the community ultimately needs to hear directly from him, particularly on matters relating to ownership, the future of CropBytes, and any proposed transition. 3. Regarding financial and technical details: I do not currently have the full financial or technical information. What I have heard so far is that the current operation is no longer financially sustainable and that Sandeep believes the operating cost could potentially be reduced to around US$8,000 per month. That figure still needs to be verified through proper documentation. Before anyone should seriously consider taking over CropBytes, investing money, or committing to a new-game transition, I believe Sandeep needs to provide proper due-diligence information, including: • current and historical revenue and expenses • a breakdown of the proposed US$8,000 monthly running cost • outstanding liabilities and player obligations • source-code and IP ownership • server and infrastructure details • smart contracts, wallets and technical architecture • active-user and community statistics • contracts, staff and third-party obligations • exactly what would be transferred in any takeover I also understand the concern about the lack of communication over the

I am glad this initial step has been taken and that the game has even a sliver of potential again! I think either proposed option is viable, I have no clue how much monthly revenue the game got, but $8k/month sounds pretty expensive for a game like this. Gonna be hard to find a game model that generates that much each month, while still being beneficial to players (because lets be real - no one played the game for the entertainment value, it was to try to generate even a small roi through good resource management)
