Comments like this reveal something important. Instead of presenting Scripture, some people simply throw insults, make accusations, and then disappear without proving anything from God's word. The apostle Paul wrote: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15) Notice that Paul did not say to ignore divisions in Scripture. He said to 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 them. 📌 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭? If we do not rightly divide the Scriptures: ❌ We place Israel's program into the Body of Christ. ❌ We confuse prophecy with mystery. ❌ We mix law and grace. ❌ We confuse Peter's ministry with Paul's ministry. ❌ We create contradictions where there are none. 📌 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬? Many people ridicule the doctrine of right division while using it themselves without realizing it. For example: 🔹 They do not build an ark like Noah. 🔹 They do not offer animal sacrifices. 🔹 They do not observe all the ordinances given to Israel. 🔹 They understand that some commands were directed toward particular people at particular times. In other words, they divide the Scriptures. The real question is whether they divide them 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐥𝐲. 📖 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐲: "But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." The Topsy Turvy World of Cherry Picking Verses and Twisting Them One way the proponents of the heresy known as Universal Forgiveness interpret Colossians 2:13–15 is by treating the passage, particularly the relationship between “having forgiven you all trespasses” and “blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us” – as a universal timeline that automatically applies to every person. Yet Scripture teaches that the law (the handwriting of ordinances) still serves to reveal Man’s sinful condition in this present dispensation. Romans 7:7 KJB “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.” 1 Corinthians 15:56 KJB “The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.” Romans 3:20 KJB “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.” Unsaved men are identified and condemned by the law as sinners.  Therefore, it is only when a sinner receives the provision Christ made for his/her sin (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) by faith, that the blessings (salvation) of Colossians 2 become true of that individual as follows: *The handwriting of ordinances: Blotted out. *Trespasses: Forgiven. *Spiritual condition/position changed: From being dead in sins and trespasses to being quickened together with Christ. *Principalities and powers (Satan and his minions): Spoiled through Christ’s provision for mankind’s sins. So the handwriting of ordinances that testified against the believer when he/she was a sinner are removed. Many never provide any Scripture, context, or explanation. They merely dismiss what has been written. As believers, we should remember several important principles. 📖 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝. The question is not: What does tradition say? What does a church council say? What does a denomination say? What does a religious leader say? The question is: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲? Acts 17:11 says: "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." 📖 𝐖𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. If someone says that a teaching is wrong, they should be willing to open the Scriptures and explain why. Second Timothy 2:15 says: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." A disagreement should never be based merely upon emotion, tradition, or popularity. 📖 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞. Calling people names, making accusations, and attacking character are not substitutes for biblical teaching. Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox believers, and every other group should be willing to compare their teachings with the Scriptures. No human institution is above God's word. 📖 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 When someone simply says, "Wrong," we should not become angry. Instead, we should ask a simple question: "𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧." Truth does not fear examination. 📖 "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." The issue is not: ❓ “Whose interpretation is correct?” The issue is: ✅ “Will we believe what God actually said?” 📖❤️ The King James Bible teaches there is… ✅ A right way to study. ❌ And a wrong way to study. 🔥 God did not leave us guessing.
