I can reproduce, but I'm more surprised by PyQt5's behavior than by PySide2's

if you introduce your own valueChanged signal with a different purpose, you might want to name it differently to the one coming from QSlider

Is there other ways to implement a delayed value QSlider, I don't want the user to send a large number of requests when they drag the Slider, because the background involves IO operations.

Just rename your signal to delayedValueChanged or whatever

Right now you have the original valueChanged from Qt and your own valueChanged

It works, thanks a lot, I thought I must modify the default valueChanged signal to take effect. 😭
