The benefits of PySide with PyPy are only performance?

For users of PySide, pretty much (other than just diversity being good). For developers of PySide itself, it highlights issues with their implementation which might not be as obvious with CPython.

It is not the joy of Mandelbrot. That is way better in C++. It is the joy about how great PyPy performs here.

How about to try also nuitka?
