It can't really be there still for compatibility reasons, as with the move to Qt 4 or Qt 5, they could have easily dropped it, and didn't. I think they just left it for very simple cases where you don't need to display much, and the data is static or some such.
I
hi, i'm trying to emit a signal on QGraphicScene but faced with the error of: Unresolved attribute reference 'emit' for class 'Signal' here is the following code from PySide2 import QtWidgets, QtCore, QtGui class Nodz(QtWidgets.QGraphicsView): signal_KeyPressed = QtCore.Signal(object) def __init__(self, parent, configPath=defaultConfigPath): . . . super(Nodz, self).__init__(parent) def keyPressEvent(self, event): if event.key() not in self.pressedKeys: self.pressedKeys.append(event.key()) self.signal_KeyPressed.emit(event.key()) what am I doing wrong?
I
I was trying to follow an example from the repo,
but they mixed both Py-Qt and pyside
I wanted to isolated it and use pyside only
I
I'm trying call it's object via promoted widget using QtDesigner then will be used inside the main window # -*- coding: utf-8 -*- ################################################################################ ## Form generated from reading UI file 'interface.ui' ## ## Created by: Qt User Interface Compiler version 5.15.2 ## ## WARNING! I
since i'm rewriting the code to be integrated into MainWindow, I wanted to have everything right before running it
well, try to run it and see if it works. It might just be an issue with PyCharm or PySide's type annotations
F
if it does not work, the exception at runtime might tell you more about why that's the case
