@Numerlor I would be surprised if the QWindow doesn't get a close event in all cases. Try calling myWidget.window().windowHandle() to get the QWindow... Oh, but there is no close event for QWindow... I guess I would use it's QObject destroyed signal to get what you're looking for. That will be signaled immediately before the destruction of the window.
The destroy signal will be emitted from any and all QObjects. It's a signal defined in QObject itself.
If it's closing and destruction of windows, I would use the close signal on the QWidget, and the destroyed signal on it's QWindow (windowHandle() of top-level widget). Both together should cover the situation you were missing.

Or, actually, you may not even need to do that. Just assume they are the right type (even though type doesn't show it) and call the methods you need.

I'm not sure if the destroy event would be enough - depends on if you wanted to cover instances where the window was closed but not destroyed.
I suppose you could use a dictionary for that. Index by cpp pointer, get your objects.
I'm not sure what those represent.
