I'm not sure @lpapp I fumble my way through type registration with shiboken and have to re-learn it every time I poke at it, so you're likely already beyond me in understanding.

I think I would have worded the bug report differently (noting the inconsistency between the other Qt module repos and their exposing of the -lts-lgpl tags and pyside-setup's omission of those tags). I said as much in my comment.

I think Cristian is actually listed as the maintainer (I'm not sure). Friedemann does a lot of dev work for PySide.

if you're on Linux, configure a compose key: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Keyboard_configuration_in_Xorg#Configuring_compose_key (there are tools for Windows too). Easily lets you type á (compose, ', a), or even ø (/ and o) and œ (o and e) and pretty much anything you can think of

I suppose I could do that, but that requires effort 😅
@lpapp that's just the default course of action for any change to be made. He didn't have time to fully understand the situation since he was jumping on a plane at the time. When he gets some time, I expect we will hear his thoughts.
