Qt for Python (PySide/Shiboken)

What does this line of the docs mean? signal4 = Signal((float,), (QDate,)) # optional types Should the tuples contain a single type each? Can the types be in lists instead of tuples? And unless the syntax is still valid for PySide6, shouldn't there be a discouraging line in the docs near the code?

The tuples are a way of associating the "python types" and "qt types", and IIRC they can have more than one value if needed. It cannot be a list instead of a tuple. what would you like to discourage?

Later in the docs, I see the following: In Qt 6, signals have distinct names for different types. I understand this like that there can't be optional types in Qt 6 anymore.

So now I am a bit stuck: I know since Qt 5 (and Python 3) everything is Unicode, but how are Unicode code points represented in .ui Files from QT Designer a.k.a. pyside6-designer? I load such file with QUiLoader.load(): <widget class="QLabel" name="label_9"> <property name="text"> <string>🏡 whatever</string> It also does work with HTML entities like &pound; but others like &#x1F3E1; only show the box.
