Qt for Python (PySide/Shiboken)

Hi all, I have a laptop with Window 11 as OS and gonna install Qt (c++ )on it for development. Would there be a big deal ? I came across this blog: https://www.qt.io/blog/qt-6.2-and-windows-11 and it seems good to go. But before that, I wanna hear some user experiences from community here about Qt c++ development on window 11. Thanks

AFAIK this is a Qt for Python group, so you might not find a ton of folks here familiar with Qt in C++. I'm double-useless to you, since I'm not only a Python developer (with no especially useful knowledge of C++) but also I haven't touched Windows in well over a decade (Win7 was my last Windows). I do everything on Linux these days. Just guessing, but I suspect there should be no real problems doing Qt6.2/C++ on Windows 11. As long as you know what you're doing re; both C++ and Qt6, it should be fine. I know I've had nothin' but good luck with Qt6 overall thus far on Linux, and it can't be much different on Windows I presume. Qt is designed to be cross-platform after all.

You shouldn't have any issues. Just install Qt from qt.io, and follow the docs. Even building Qt from sources isn't too difficult, if you wanted to do that. The Qt docs are quite good. Beyond that, this isn't the place to ask or answer Qt C++ questions, but if you can boil whatever problems you're having with Qt into a Qt for Python example, we might be able to help.

SOLVED: is a known bug in PySide6 version 6.7.2. Fixed the problem by installing version 6.7.0
